About LinkBacksOkey so i have a video clip which is in .avi format. I can open and watch in wmp but i am unable to import and play/edit it in sony vegas 9.
Does anyone have any ideas because im sure vegas supports avi. ?

I got sv9.0pro and I have no problems in watching *.avi files in sv. Do you get any error msg?
I am not even able to install sony vegas properly, can't help there
ahh, well what ive found out from searches is that there is an avi problem somtimes when only the audio shows :s how ever this only happens to smaller clips...
so i think the clip i was trying to edit was far to big, may be the problem.

AVI is a multimedia container format which may carry audio/visual data inside in virtually any compression scheme, including Full Frame (Uncompressed), Intel Real Time (Indeo), Cinepak, Motion JPEG, Editable MPEG, VDOWave, ClearVideo / RealVideo, QPEG, and MPEG-4 Video. In order to successfully import, open and edit all kinds of AVI in Sony Vegas, we had better convert it to Vegas more friendly video format like DV.
