    Ewww, why vista?

Breif, Im sure somebody can expand/ correct these

Partition your drive, using windows tools (Right click on My Computer > Manage) - If you use linux to partition, you'll risk losing data.
Lable your drives and remember their letters.
Insert vista cd, install on your new partition.
Use EasyBCD(?) to update the bootloader.

    Edit..

Yeah, please.. don't do vista. Windows 7, or a linux distro.

Hold on, are you looking to have Vista and XP on one computer? That seems very pointless. Win7 will satisfy any needs that you want xp or vista for definitely.

Windows 7 Cannot satisfy XP needs. Period.

But yeah, windows 7 is a hell of a lot better choice than vista.

Ok, windows xp can do some things that 7 can't, but 7 is a hell of a lot better. XP is just too dated

I don't agree with that either. Yes, its old, but its still way better.
