Thread: Crazy Ping

Some of you might have seen, my ingame ping is 999. I have no clue why.

I recently had some trouble with my ISP, but seem to have that fixed.

The xfire ping shows it at around 80-120 (Normal) however when I go into the game, its 999.

I've also ran a ping test over the cmd

Why is it changing so much?

I'm on a wired connection and have not had any trouble like this before.

Is it the same on other servers?
Its happened to me before on a few servers, then when i started on another the ping went down...

Nope, I can play on some servers, a normal ping... and some other servers with the same ping as I get at Fpsoverload...

I'll try get some hours in another server, see if it helps. Thanks

i had same problem in some cracked servers, while i played i got lagged and kicked out. when i tried to reconnect the timer runed out. i found out waht it was. all internet programs as msn,sidebar-if u have vista-,and some downloaders kile ea download, and torrent downloads. if u shut all this it might get a little better.

If you get loads of lag in a cracked server, its because its banned by PunkBuster. Buy the game. IW deserve it.

The shot of xfire shows my ping before i enter the server. The ingame score list shows what my ping is ingame. And the COD4 Server list shows my ping after I leave the game.

WTF.

i get that once in a while but it goes away. how long have u played with it?
