Thread: GunGame?

Hey

I don't know how much we are willing to put a modded server on (I have no idea if it means more work etc.) but hey, just going to put it out there anyway. Also, I put it in this forum (and not private one) to see if the idea is liked by members and admins alike. Heck I'll even put a poll in just 'cause I can - well actually, so people who don't feel like posting can still voice their opinion.


So, I was thinking about a gungame-mod for our 1027 server (which sadly still is and remains unpopulated). Now I don't know whether or not it would be more populated because of it, and I don't know how popular the gungame mode is in CoD 4...

I have found a fun mod that I play with 2 of my friends on LAN, and I think we tweaked the settings (gun order) pretty well (see: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9812294/Gun%20Game%20levels.txt for the list).

So what do you guys think?

mh i don't know the mod. an explanation helps maybe :s cause i think i'm not the only one not knowing.

GunGame is basically a game mode where everyone starts with the same gun, and with every kill you make you get a new "better" gun.

in the mod I have, level 1 is Ak74u, then p90, mp5 etc. etc. until knife.
The idea is that the higher you get the harder it becomes

There's also a catch: if you knife someone, you "steal" a level from that person, meaning you level up, while the enemy levels 1 level down.

The game ends once someone has got a kill with the last lvl.

It can be played as FFA or TDM (TDM is better IMHO)

I've played a sick one from BP Quper and cabry probably played it too, I could talk to an admin there and ask about it if ye like?
