So basically between my new work and life I don't have any long amounts of time to invest in a game. So I'm limiting myself to games I can play and enjoy while only playing them for a a little bit at a time. And I figured I'd make a thread with a little mini reviews for the games I've found tat work for me
. (rough draft atm, gonna update it a lot later, probably tomorrow morning.)
Magicka - by far the best one, is multiplayer from 2-4 players and is redicolously fun to play with a few friends.
Alien Swarm - free, moderately fun, I don't enjoy it as much as Magicka but have used it to play with some rl friends who otherwise wouldn't play video games with me (they aren't interested in them enough to spend $).
SC2 - campaign is great as you can save and quit at any time, vs. AI is kinda meh unless you're playing vs them to become pro/ish which defeats the purpose of minimal time investment. MP is great if you already bought it (had a little lan party by a friends house we had about 4 copies between the 9 of us so we had a few tourneys) however spending 60$ on a game I'm not that into wasn't rlly an option for me so I'm still looking into a Hamachi Lan option.
SuperMeatBoy - indie arcade game, ridiculously hard and frustrating but still fun at the same time.
Braid - epic puzzle game although after one playthrough it gets boring
Pokemon - was always a fan so I dled a DS emulator when black and white came out, actually really enjoyed it. can be saved anytime and you can play vs friends for free online via smogon or something like that.
Batman Arkham Asylum - not that great a choice as you can't save that often. but it's a fucking epicly cool game, combat is amazing graphics are crazy good.
Mass Effect 1,2/Dragon Age O,2 - fun if you like the genre, can save and quit very often. ME1,2 I enjoyed about the same (haven't finished 1 yet started with 2). DA:O FAR superior to DA2, DA2 is like a placeholder/sideshow between O and 3 (when it's released)
Prototype - only just started it, seems fun, reminds me a lot of this old spiderman game i had on ps2 a while back.
And of course
CoD4 which every1 knows and loves
will update sometime tomorrow or maybe later tonight.
