Thread: My computer, again... QQ

So basically my motherboard had been giving me shit since I got it by freezing up anytime it was bumped a bit and last night it died. I should have a new motherboard on Sunday though so it's all good . Atm I'm on my Linux box runnning BAcktrack 4 , goign to install Ubuntu when I have a chance. Also this may seem strange but does anyone know where I can buy a Nvidia GTX 285 Graphics card (asides from ebay and cragslist)? Preferably somewhere in the UK that can ship to me in Israel, none of the shops here have it and I can't find any second hand (the cards from 2009).

^^ actually the computer I'm on now is 15` years old i think. works great for web and decent for movies. i use it mostly to hack the wifi passwords in my town (epic long range wifi antenna) and sell the passwords to kids for their iphones and stuff and since the passwords are often changed I make some good money off it xD. and my old pc I gave to my brothers, lasted me 7 years before i passed it on with only a graphics card and hdd update. this new one has been rlly buggy b/c of the motherboard though, real annoying. I think what I'll do is when my Dad goes back to the US for business I'll order 8gb of ddr3 ram off newegg and buy an AM3/DDR3 motherboard here. atm I have 4gb ddr2 with an am3 core (bought the ram 6 months before I got the core when ddr3 was still ridiculously expensive) and only a small selection of motherboards support both.

see if you have an option other than a wep password, wep is ridiculously easy to crack. or you can set up a whitelist of mac addresses, that way even if they get the password they can't connect and use the internet (but they can still brute force their way into your router settings so make sure you have a nice big complicated password, random letters and number at least 16 letters long are best.).

how "crack?

You force authentication to the wifi connection and then just sniff packets until you have enough (30000 or so) and then you run it through a cracking program (like aircrack).

you could just disable your wifi. or cover the antenna in tinfoil, will decrease signal loads.
