Thread: My PC :)

So I finally got all the components together for my new PC about a month ago but to my utter enjoyment (sarcasm) the GPU came DOA . Not a problem though as I had made 500nis working for this guy recently so I went out and bought myself a replacement card until I could get my original replaced (warranty). So all's good and I go to boot up, only for some reason it RANDOMLY FREEZES every so often (even in POST, BIOS, Linux Live, etc...). So I figure it's a hardware problem probably a faulty motherboard. I'm about to go buy a new motherboard but first I decided to reseat all the components in the case, as I'm removing everything my father walked by and mentioned that he thought the case i was using was faulty . Sooo... long story short I put together a really quick (10 min tops) torture rack and it works yay. pics l

I had got a sata drive but that IDE supports Dual-Layer burning while the sata one didn't .

Specs are : Amd Phenom II 955
Gigabyte something or the other MB (forget exactly)
Radeon HD 5570 (until i can get my 5870 replaced)
2x2gb OCZ Gold
WD Caviar Black 750gb
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (gonna try dual boot OSX86 soon)
Corsair TX 650watt PSU

:s a "fualty" case? motherboard not screwed in correctly? :S i had the problem once it froze because one of my SATA cables were faulty and would stop working after a while, so replaced it and worked fine there after, but im quite confused as how the case is fualty? :S

act i think the case must be the bit of old cabinet all the components are taped to would pos look cooler with a couple rolls o plasticine , sum black and red curly wires and an old skool alarm clock ?

the case was warped, stressed the motherboard the wrong way causing it to freeze if it got even slightly bumped (even the fan vibration sometimes).

gonna pick up some acrylic and make a rack out of that.
