    What genres do you like? I know a lot of good music in the genres of metal, classical, minimalist, rock blah blah blah but it's no good spamming all of it

    Well I presume you listen to stuff like Led zeppelin and Iron maiden, if not you need to!
    You might like Tool, an alternative metal band or Judas Priest if you haven't heard of them already!

    other good bands... Racer X. Hope this is helpful, I'm trying to choose purposefully obscure(ish) bands as I assume you have heard most more well known bands.
