Well...i would prefer a desktop...But i have/use a laptop.

Definitely prefer my desktop. Even if I did want to use a laptop, mine can't run games.

I prefer to game with my Desktop, used to always play with my laptop though.

Desktop - Laptop
Nvidia GTX 250 - Nvidia 9300M GS
Intel 2 Duo @ 2.40GHz - Intel 2 Duo @ 2.53GHz
4GB RAM - 4GB RAM

All in all they can both run most of the games i play, both pretty well. I use a wired connection on both. But i like to play on my laptop sometimes because i can go sit on the sofa, or lay down. Desktop I have to stay sat in a chair.

And with most keyboards, mice being USB, you can play with the same style controls. Now-a-days, with a decent, mid-range laptop gaming is possible.

I have just run to instances of Cod4 one on laptop, one on desktop, laptop brings around 80-1000 FPS, Desktop 230 - 250. But for casual/ less dedicated gaming that is fine.

Dont have a desktop so im stuck with my lappy

i think it depends on what laptop you use..
so i can play everything with my laptop like on a desktop...
so i forgot my performances ;P

its not the newest one..xD

so in fact that my laptop is much better, and that my laptop is a gaming laptop, i prefer to use my laptop^^

Working with a desktop is much better IMHO...but nevertheless I'm also stuck to my laptop
Dekstops usually are faster, except they were built before WorldWar II (as Tobi's one ) Laptops are useful when you're on holidays and dont want to abstain from work/internet/p0rns/whatever

My laptop is far more powerful and faster, however the screen is 11" compared to my 16" desktop screen, so my desktop is better for Cod4, laptop better for other games.

try investing into a better monitor, that 16" is tiny, plus that monitors are quite cheap this days
