Thread: The great console war :P

During school time today right now at this moment me and one of my bestest mates are having a debate about consoles. He's saying that consoles are better than PC's but im saying PC's are better than consoles. I know this debate has been going on for a while now but i wanted to bring it up on this forum. It is your choice to reply to this post only if you want.

This is what I've said : PC is a whole lot better because you can do a whole lot more than what you can do on a console.

He replied : Yeh but the controls are easier on console because you get a pad.

I replied : Thing is you can use a pad to play games on the PC anyway. And another thing is a console is limited to what it was shipped with, whereas a PC can be upgraded to and endless possibilty. You can by a decent PC nowadays for about

pc definitely owns... a mouse is way more accurate than a controller and the keyboard gives you near unlimited customization of the controls. and online multiplayer is free and then u have the possibility of upgrading anytime you want and if u must have a pad you can buy one for pc... i'm having the same argument with my friend, he insists xbox360 is better and easier to play but i don't care that much b/c i own him with both

I think everybody who is slightly serious towards gaming has this argument with a friend

Like raw said, you can upgrade a pc when ever you want. When a new game comes out that needs a new console.. e.g. the PS4.. if somebody wants to play that straight away they've gotta spend that $400 on a PS4, when I can just get a new graphics card for half that.

And the amount of things you can do with a pc.. sync your ipod, tweak setting and hardware to get better gameplay, and you actually know what your playing with...

Both Mouse and his friend have valid points, but iv never liked PC gaming, Cod4 is the only PC game i will play on, Im a fan of GTA, Sport games, RPG's and storyline adventure games etc. And these are brilliant for console, for PC i just cant see it been as good.

Fair play, the PC has plenty more applications and is far better with that in account, but in light of gaming (casual) ONLY, imo its the console who wins.
Ofc gamers with clans and dedicated players will argue that the PC is better for the reason it has a competetive edge. Which i agree to.

Pc>all, in plaing, but + costs, Consoles (mainly X360) owns,

yeah, ok casual gaming, i guess.. consoles wins

But some of the things like xfire in-game, vent, ts.. All those things...

and can consoles run Cod4 Mods?

Consoles can't run gta mods :\ I have sa for pc and ps2.. Not sure which i prefer, both have perks..

Nope, but when u want to just have a nice simple play, u dont want all that...

True, GTA mods are some of the best iv seen, and consoles cant run them... without cheats! But GTA on pc was so bad, maybe with a controller it might be better, but PS controllers are the best.

thing is ps3 has free online play but some people have isssues with abd lag :/ im gonna buy PS3 slim anyhoos
