Thread: Why Can I Only Get 125 FPS?

Here are my specs:

Processor:

Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU E3300 @ 2.50GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz

Memory:

4096MB RAM

Video Card:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295

Monitor:

26 inch Acer Monitor

Operating System:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Motherboard:

Asus P5KPL/1600

With my current settings I get 125 pretty much constantly and I can get 250 whilst looking at the sky, but only when I'm looking at the sky.

Some people say I should get a higher FPS, why do you guys think I'm only getting 125?

did you check /com_maxfps ?

galak he said he gets 250 fps when he looks into the sky, so there's no maxfps limit at 125.
yeah the resolution is very high and you can't get 250 fps on it with your PC. i'm playing with ~190 fps with highest reso and some configs.

Changing the resolution doesn't give me higher FPS.

then you do something wrong.
