Thread: Key code in use

I get this message quite a lot, mine is because my internet crashes a lot. Can also happen if your game crashes.

Try restarting your computer and modem, it might fix it, as it forces the key server to re update, with your new IP.. or something.

There is also the possibility your key has been stolen, but it is unlikely, unless you have given it to anybody or you have downloaded any strange programs.

For me when i get that or when i get awaiting connection and it times out with yellow writing down the bottom saying autorising keycode that means all i have to do is restart my router which takes 30 secs for it to come back online and then i can join the server

I hate when this happens! i always restart internet and/or wait it out )

Same here, my ISP "reboots" my connection every (i think) 36 hours. Usually, I never notice (if it's at night for example), but it being 36h, it can happen any time. ANd when it happens when I play, I suddenly get "connection lost" in game, then when I try to join, BAM Key Code in Use.

Restarting router/modem works for me. Waiting works too, but meh
