Thread: How To Create Your Own CoD 4 MW Lan/Online Server

Hello faithfull members of FPSOverload! in this topic i will try to explain you how you can make a lan/online server step by step.

1)Be into your cod 4 game
2)Press start new server
3)Select Name
i)Maximum Players
ii)Min/Max Ping
iii)Punkbuster Enable/Disable(Enable Recommended)

II)About Rcon

i)You must have Rcon for cod 4 (there have 2 Rcon's:1 for cod 2 and 1 for cod4)

ii)Then go to dialogs where shows you at the top of the selections and press General

iii)Now you can press retrieving from server If u want to save your own selections.

III)About Modem/Router Ports

i)If you want your server be public you must save the following Ports in this Modem/router adress
192.168.1.1

ii)Press Advanced setup After that press virtual server and will shows to you a list of enable ports.(main enable Port:HTTP_8080 for Website)


You must add the following ports

28960
20500
20510

And Whola! your server is now public

P.S.: Don't forget To Download Mods....

Ahh, I thought you had to pay for public servers?
This is handy for when i want to do 1 vs 1's.

ive been looking how to do this >.> so its online like a pub etc.. but host by yourself and free? so could i use this for random 1v1s with mates?

^^ as he said does this work as a pub server but prob high ping ?
