overclocked to 4.2 it should stay at a measly 40-45c at full load

very nice! Was considering one of those actually. let me know how it works out.

will do should be here not this weekend but by next weekend for sure.
one of the reviews on it was for the same cpu i have and dude said he doesnt go above 37-40c oc'd to about 3.8-4ghz... i run 40-44c on IDLE at 3.55ghz

so i just had a weird turn of events... had my cpu oc'd to about 3.55 just messing around and ran cod and never went over about 52-53 degrees so i said well ill bump it up some and see if it stays at a safe temperature... so i bumped up to about 3.72... NEVER WENT OVER 49 degrees playing the same maps with roughly the same amount of people with more background programs running...(forgot to close firefox and utorent with 4 2gb+ size videos downloading... is it just me or is this weird? more power less heat...? WTF MATE!!!!

i bumped it again to about 3.85 which before is when it would get excessively hot to see if it still does it... may be the way i have my side open with a desk fan blowing on cpu or the arctic silver 5 i added or both or just a fluke but who knows... plus ill have my corsair h50 liquid cooler by next weekend so it doesnt matter much anyways
