Thread: getting more fps

i just got a new computer with an amd phenom II x4 965 cpu running 3.4ghz and an ATI Radeon HD 5670 graphics card

right now i can run 1600x900 just fine at about 70-100 fps. i was wondering what i need to upgrade to get better fps? is it my cpu? if so im either going to invest in a better cpu an amd phenom hexacore or overclock my current one and buy a better cpu heatsink. i had it overclocked to 3.8 but it was getting to hot.

any help is appreciated

Better off optimizing you're .cfg file for fps increase. 70-100 fps is all you need for eye candy but if you want 150 or 250 fps you'll need to tweak your game settings a bit.

nearly everything. look for .cfgs via google. it's hard to make your own config cause you need to look up every command. for me it took 4 days finishing my cfg.

try this COD4 Optimization and Pro configs scroll to the bottom.
